M.Y. KETO MEAL PLAN
This recipe conforms to the M.Y. Keto Meal Plan, a plan that I custom created for people without a gallbladder who want to follow a keto diet. This meal plan incorporates healthy fats into each balanced meal. For more information, click here.

The recipe includes ⅓ of a banana for those who are following the M.Y. Low-carb Mediterranean Meal Plan. To make this smoothie keto, simply omit the banana.
M.Y. LOW-CARB MEDITERRANEAN MEAL PLAN
The M.Y. Low-carb Mediterranean Meal Plan is not as strict as keto, but is still fairly low-carb and incorporates healthy fats into each balanced meal. For more information, click here.
To make this recipe fit the Low-Carb Mediterranean plan, include banana in your smoothie. Bananas are high in sugars, so I only added ⅓ of a medium sided banana. Alternatively, you could add any other fruit that fits within the meal plan.

Ingredients
Protein Powder: I used Jay Robb's Chocolate Egg White Protein Powder, but you can use any other protein powder of your choosing. Whichever powder you choose, just make sure you read the nutrition label to ensure there aren't added sugars. I try to avoid whey protein since it tends to spike my blood sugar. If you don't have chocolate-flavored powder, no worries, just add a little extra cocoa powder.
Espresso: I have a Nespresso machine at home. If you don't have an espresso machine, you could use regular coffee instead.
Cocoa Powder: I recommend using "Dutch Process" cocoa powder for a richer flavor.
Nut Butter: Make sure your nut butter just has nuts and salt. Check the nutrition label and make sure there aren't a bunch of other ingredients, especially no added sugars.
Inulin or Acacia senegal: I use this brand but any other brand will do.
